CD & DVD caring
Caring for your CDs and DVDs is easy, really, using
these simple steps.
Firstly, do not touch the discs on the reading surface.
The reading surfice usually looks slightly more blue that the opposite
side.
Take care where you place your discs when you finished
using them. Store them in a wallet. Don't leave them where they
can gather dust because dust causes static, which is harmful to
discs.
The question often arises: how can one fix scratched
discs? The fact is that scratched discs cannot be fixed. Scratching
removes some of the casting dye used to cover the writing areas
and cannot be replaced properly. As always, prevention is better
than care.
Keep in mind: dust causes static and like any electric
current, it is harmful to electronic devices. Keep your computer
as dust-free as possible, and have it serviced and cleaned often.
